Artist Bio
Originally from South London and now based in Brooklyn, DAVRI is a producer and DJ whose sound draws from Chicago house, Detroit house, and years spent moving between the underground rooms of London, the Balearic Islands, and New York. His music is shaped by two decades of immersion in dance culture running events, building a label, and developing a sound that has evolved continuously without losing its thread.DAVRI's relationship with dance music is foundational. Growing up in South London, he came of age during one of the most fertile periods in UK underground music. Two-step garage, early dubstep, and the sounds being made across that scene artists like Benga, Mala, and Koki formed the bedrock of his musical instincts. That environment didn't just influence his taste. It shaped how he listens, how he builds a set, and what he believes music is capable of.That foundation carried him forward. Through years running events and his label Concrete Kin, supporting artists including Tale of Us, Maya Jane Coles, and Chris Stussy, and spending time in Ibiza absorbing the slower, more atmospheric side of electronic music, DAVRI refined a practice built on patience and intention.
His move to New York deepened that. Five years in the city pushed his sound further into the electronic underground toward the Detroit house movement that now defines where his work sits.Upcoming releases on KTPM and a packed schedule of co-headline shows across New York mark the next phase. DAVRI is an artist in full motion, with a sound that has been earned over time rather than assembled quickly.Outside of music, he works at the intersection of design, culture, and technology building brands and companies with the same instinct for craft and long-term thinking that informs everything he makes in the studio. The throughline across all of it is the same. Make work that holds up. Make it feel right in the room.
